due to poochyena’s notoriety of persistance of it’s prey and it’s viscious bite, many breweries in oxachi took notice. brew-masters often keep poochyenas to protect their brewery from other pesky pokémon who could spoil their bourbon. unlike the hoenn poochyena, the kamerigon variant has taken on the colors of many of oak barrels on their coat and even the deep amber color of precious oxachi bourbon.

design breakdown

the kamerigo poochyena is inspired by the famous kentucky bourbon. the main part of it's fur represents the oak barrels that bourbon is often stored in, with the steel colored stripes around its belly. the accent part of its fur represents the amber color of bourbon. the shiny variant takes on a darker wood color for the main fur and a golden-amber color for the accent fur inspired by the lighter color bourbon. the kamerigo poochyena also maintains its dark typing, but gains a poison type to represent the potency of bourbon.
